1st XV & 2nd XV Squads for this Weekend

HEAD COACH BEN CAIRNS COMMENTS ON SELECTION

Rhys Davies and Scott McGinley drop to the bench while Marc Kelly and Roan Frostwick drop out of the 1ST xv squad altogether to accommodate the four pros released to play this week. Adam Hall and Chris Davies also drop out to get some much-needed game time with the A team. Finally, Matt Hooks comes on to the bench for his first involvement this season having returned from Australia.

BEN CAIRNS COMMENTS ON THE MATCH

We were very disappointed with our showing at Bridgehaugh. Our pack in particular had a torrid time against a well drilled and more aggressive eight. We’ve been pretty tough on the boys this week as we know they are capable of much more and we expect a reaction this weekend back at Malleny. Hawks will be buoyed by their result away at Hawick last weekend and we know they will come to Malleny full of confidence and belief of getting another big win on the road. The several pros on show will no doubt add to the spectacle and we’d therefore hope to see a good crowd in attendance.
