COACHES COMMENTS ON SELECTION

In the pack, Matias Argiro earns his first start of the league campaign and the fit again Rhys Davies returns replacing the unreleased Tevita Tameilau. With Jamie Forbes and Gregor Hunter both out there’s a bit of a reshuffle in the backline which sees Joe Reynolds start at 10 and Matt Hooks start at 13. James McCaig gains his first start for the 1st XV having been hugely impressive for the A team in every game he’s played. Reece Patterson misses out, while AP McWilliam and Adam Hall drop to the bench and Wallace Nelson comes in.

COACHES COMMENTS ON THE 1st XV MATCH

Last weekend’s loss was a difficult one to take having chucked so much into what was such a great contest. However, with the games coming thick and fast the boys have dusted themselves down and are ready to do what it takes to bounce back this weekend. Accies are getting stronger and stronger as the season has progressed culminating in a closer match last weekend versus Watsonians than the score line would suggest. The run of losses seems to have pulled their squad closer together and we know how desperate they will be to break their duck before the first half of the season is up.
