Stirling County RFC U15 v Currie Chieftains U15

We all witnessed some rugby fireworks at Bridgehaugh today. Both teams neither asked nor gave anything without having to work (hard) for it. There was some wonderful rugby on display from both teams, and the match was played with a level of sportsmanship that everyone involved with the boys should be proud of.

The first half was very tight with action all over the field and some truly outstanding defence from our hosts. The half time score was 12-7 to Chieftains thanks to tries from Donoghue and Hardie, the latter being converted to a goal by McCallum.

The second half started as the first had finished. Our hosts suffered from a few injuries which broke up their rhythm. Chieftains capitalised with tries from Anderson, Hardie and MacLean. Crombie converted two goals. County responded with an unconverted try resulting in a 31-12 win to Currie Chieftains.

Man of the match was Ewan Gent, with Euan Crombie picking up attached and Chris Hardie attacker. Well played boys.

Thanks to all again. Camerman, oranges, lifts, etc. are all appreciated. Of course, many thanks to our friends at County from their sport and hospitality.
