Currie Chieftains v Biggar RFC, 31 August 2019 KO 3.00 pm

The 2019-20 Season starts off with a Scottish Cup match against Biggar RFC at Malleny. We enter the 1st Round of the Tennent's Premiership with a match away to GHA RFC in Glasgow on 7 September.

Currie Chieftains have undergone a major rebuilding programme over the summer and our squad will include some young players whose faces may be unfamiliar to Chieftains fans. However, in their last pre-season outing against a strong Heriots side on 24 August they ran out convincing winners 38-26.

Nonetheless, Biggar will have a strong and well-established team, and had a very successful 2018-19 season. They will be very determined to stop Currie Chieftains before any hint of Cup run gets started.
