For the second year in a row Currie have progressed into the Quarter Final of the Melrose 7s.

After two impressive performances in round 1 & 2, we faced a tough Melrose side in the Quarters.

Melrose had the ball for the majority of the game but at half time it was tight with the home side only 10-5 ahead. Melrose kept possession of the ball for almost the entire second half and crossed the line three times to go into the Semis at there home ground.

Melrose then progressed through the semis to face Watsonians in the final. Watsonians came out on top with a 19-15 victory.

Round 1 - Chieftains 40 - 7 Glasgow Hawks

Round 2 - Chieftains 24 - 19 Jed Forrest

Quarter Final - Chieftains 5 - 31 Melrose
