At the start of the year Currie Chieftain’s prop and Club Captain John Cox indicated his retirement from rugby. He also stood down as Club Captain and as a Currie RFC Board member. John’s departure will need several organisational adjustments; and in the first of these, Mike Vernel has been appointed Club Captain. We wish John the best for the future.
