An extended 1st XV squad headed down Lanark Road to Meggetland on Saturday.

They took on Boroughmuir in a two 20 minute half match followed by the same against Heriots.

Both matches resulted in a loss but it got the boys a good first hit out ahead of the new season and the two further Pre season hit outs coming up in the next two weeks.

This Saturday sees two Chieftains Squads head down to Mansfield Park,

1st XV take on Tynedale and Hawick in a Triangular which replicates a similar format to last weekend,

2nd XV take on Hawick 2nd XV in a 80 minute pre-season hit out.
