There were some very encouraging individual performances on the field today. The boys showed what they could do with some real stand out phases of play. Tackling still needs work, but there was good structure and the new positional 'tests' seem to go well. Well done to all the boys for turning it on today.

It is always a pleasure to meet up with the players and coaches from West, and today was no exception. The team showed sparks of real skill and their attitude both on and off the pitch was exemplary. Thanks must go to them, especially in difficult circumstances.

The final score was Chieftains U15 115-15 West Of Scotland U15. Tries came from across the squad with Anderson bagging five, Sayers three (first this season), ROD two, again, first of the season along with Mackie's two tries breaking his seaon's duck. Crombie and MacLean scored two apiece. Donoghue and Hardie scored one each, with McCallum finishing the try count with his first of the season as well. McCallum also demonstrated the depth of place-kicking skills in the squad with five goals, Sayers kicking four and Crombie one.
