Currie Chieftains U15 v Hamilton RFC U15

A solid performance against a spirited Hamilton side today at Malleny. The sun shone, the pitch was in great nick and we were given a good display of running rugby, played in a great spirit from both sides.

Chieftains had a couple of players back from injury today, but the best outcome was the further development of the boys in positions they are not overly familiar with. Our aim of '15 man rugby' is coming on, and the players are increasingly demonstrating their individual roles in the squad approach. They deserve great credit for the mental and physical effort put in.

The final score was Currie Chieftains 91-7 Hamilton RFC. Chieftains scorers today were Cullen (3), Armsworth (2), Cavens (2), Maroto-Andresen (2 - first of the season), Crombie, Donoghue, Hardie, Lynes, MacLean and ROD (all one each). McCallum (5), Crombie (2) and Sayers kicked the goals.

The accolades this week went to Lynes (man of the match), Hardie (attacker) and Baxter (defender). Well done boys.

Thanks to Hamilton for their sport and best wishes for the remainder of the season. Thanks too to the guys who set up the pitch and/or run the line.
