A beautiful late winter's day gave rise to a great game of youth rugby between two very committed squads. It was a pleasure to welcome Earlston HS/Melrose Wasps to Malleny, and our visitors showed a depth of skill and commitment that contributed significantly to an absorbing game.
Modelling the newly received Currie Chieftains gear, the boys demonstrated vigour and skill in containing a very well drilled and strong Wasps. The score ended up Currie Chieftains U15 27-7 Earlston HS/Melrose Wasps. The Chieftains tries game from Anderson (2), Armsworth, Lynes and Hardie. Crombie converted the first try.
Best wishes go to the two visiting players that had to attend A&E. We have asked their coach for updates.
