This weekend we travel West to Millbrae to FAce Ayr RFC before the Christmas break,

A similar looking side to the one that was due to face Boroughmuir last weekend. Great to see Richie Vernon back fit, he has had a run of frustrating injuries and I am sure he will be champing at the bit to make an impression from the back row. Hamish Bain is on the bench as he hopes to finally make his own return from injury. Stephen Ainslie is the very unfortunate man to miss out. The backline selection remains unchanged and we are all very excited to see how Charlie and Adam go together at 9 & 10.

Head Coach Ben Cairns COMMENTS ON THE MATCH

Very frustrating that last week’s match was called off. Ayr’s match suffered the same fate so we are in the same boat. Players will no doubt be feeling fresher for the weekend off and will be looking forward to getting a final game under their belt before the Christmas break. The timing of the fixture makes it a crucial one for both teams’ aspirations of a top 4 finish. Ayr have had the better of us so far this season however we have not been far away. Hopefully we can put together a more complete performance and go into the break on a bit of a high.
