50th Anniversary Update

Currie RFC will celebrate it’s 50th Anniversary next season.

The Chieftains Youth Section will start the celebrations off in June 2020 when their end of season BBQ will become a Gala Event for all the Youth Teams. There will be something for everyone and Brian Porteous the Youth Convenor will keep the Youth Coaches up to date with the plans for the day.

The weekend of 11th/12th/13th September 2020 will see the first club event of the Anniversary Year.

On Friday 11th the club will be open for a general get together.

On Saturday 12th September we hope to have a home league game.

In the evening we will host a Club Anniversary Dinner in the Corn Exchange. Tickets for the event are £60.00. An application form for tickets will be posted on the website shortly. Tickets are sure to be in high demand so make sure you get yours. Seating will be in tables of 10, and for planning purposes it would be ideal if you can get 10 people together and book accordingly.

Linlithgow RFC also celebrate their 50th Anniversary next year; their first ever game was away to Currie. They would like to reciprocate the hospitality and would like us to play them at some point during the Anniversary Season. More details will follow.

Various club house events will be held during the season.

To round of this special year we will play the Co-Optimists on Friday 30th April 2021 at Malleny followed by a Ball at Dalmahoy on Saturday 1st May 2021.

I plan to send an update out after each anniversary meeting to keep you all updated, please also check the club Website, Facebook and Twitter Accounts.
