Well done to the boys today, great to get a first run out of the season and thanks to our hosts at Hamilton. Final score Hamilton 20 – Currie 36. All 22 players got good game time and well done to the 3 squad members not playing but along to support.

Saturday 17 August: Currie Chieftains U18 56 – Biggar RFC U18 26

Thanks to Biggar for travelling to Malleny for a final pre-season friendly before the league kicks off on 24 August. Both teams had big squads and it was great to see so many players enjoying their rugby.  Everyone got a run out and for Currie the improvement from the previous match was very evident; well done team and coaches at training through the week.  The final score Currie 56 Biggar 26. Tries across the team from McCall (2), Bradshaw, Bowman, Raphael, Wales, Crombie and S Lomani. One hundred percent kicking success rate from Sprott (5), Crombie (2) and Rice. Some fantastic tries and special mention for Bradshaw for the ‘assist’ for McCall’s 2nd try (the length of the pitch except the last 5 yards!)
