Next season begins to take shape —–!

In a highly entertaining weekend of National 1 rugby, Marr secured the National 1 Championship with an outstanding 57-8 win against Gala, destroying any hope the Borders club had of  raising their position in the league. Meanwhile, it an equally enthralling encounter, Jed-Forest were emphatic winners against Musselburgh 29-40. However, the home side managed to secure the all-important try bonus point that placed them equal with Gala on 63 league points, but edging above them on points difference.

Thus, joining the ‘Fabulous 4’  (Currie Chieftains, Edinburgh Accies, Glasgow Hawks and Hawick) in next season’s Tennent’s Premiership will be the ‘Sensational 6’ (Marr, Jed-Forrest, GHA, Aberdeen Grammar, Selkirk and Musselburgh). So, 10 teams from across Scotland will come together  to provide the best of club rugby entertainment, from September through to the start of April. Enjoy the summer but don’t forget to make plans in your diary for the 2019-20 season!
